The "soft" power

Hi my friends,

How are u? I`m fine and chilling out myself a bit, hahahahaha! I have the strange sensation that I must do sth but It`s real I don`t have to do anything, just having fun! I love this feeling!

Today is the International Woman`s day, there is still so much to do in order to get the real equallity between man and woman: more chances to educate woman in undevelopment countries, work places, same salary, same rights (specially in muslim countries), etc.

I know u know a lot about the facts I`ve written just some lines before but today I`d like to share with u another stadistics about the enpowering of woman all over the World, a topic that as a Political Science student interested me a lot:

- Just 18 countries have nowdays a woman as a Head of the State or Prime Minister.

- Just in 4 countries a woman lead the Police: Norway, Denmark, Liberia and Czech Republic.

- Just 9 diplomatic woman head a Spanish Embassy, just in: Belgium, Malta, Ethiopia, Namibia, Mali, Vietnam, Dominican Republic and Unesco

Stadistics are often so cold but They reflect in a really good way that`s the real situation: woman are LESS IMPORTANT IN DECISION MAKING cos They always have had less oportunities: lack of education, lack of rights, etc. What are We waiting for to avoid this discrimination during 21st century?

Hugs and Kisses,

Óscar
